Purchase: This was my first saddle. It was bought for a hard-to-fit pony. I paid $269.99 for it from State Line Tack.
Likes: After spending quite some time trying to find an affordable saddle to fit my hard-to-fit pony, I came across this saddle. I had heard that Wintec was a good brand, so I convinced my mom to purchase it for me. When it arrived at our doorstep in not more than 5 days, I was thrilled. It was perfect! I took it out and tried it on my pony and it fit him to a "T". (this pony had no withers, so the saddle slid up onto his neck quite frequently) I highly reccomend this saddle to anyone who wants a good-quality, low maintainence, affordable saddle that gets you off to the right start. The synthetic "equileather" is very durable and easy to clean. The fabric seat and knee rolls are very grippy, and help keep you stable in the saddle. I owe my good equitation and riding ability to this saddle.
Dislikes: The fabric collects dust and hair badly, but is easily cleaned with a vacuum.
Quality: The quality and construction of the Wintec 250 Pony Saddle is extraordinary. As of 6 years, the fabric over the stirrup bars is slightly worn and a few stitches have come out. Everything else is just like new.
Summary: This is an excellent saddle for people who want an affordable, low maintainence saddle that will get them off on the right start.
