Purchase: I was given my tail bag as a gift at a horse show for winning my class - yeah! I think it retails for around $10.
Likes: My horse's tail isn't the prettiest tail in town, no matter what I do to try to take care of it. It doesn't grow very fast, and he likes to rub his hind end on his stall wall which takes a toll on his tail as well. After receiving the tail bag, I started to wrap his tail as often as I could to protect it and I am finding that his tail is coming along quite nicely after a few months now.
Dislikes: This really isn't a complaint about the bag, more about my horse... I wish he didn't like to scratch his but so much. And no, it's not a medical issue, he likes to scratch his shoulders too. I've learned not to keep his tail wrapped when I know that he won't have supervision for a long period of time because he'll scratch the bag right out of his hair.
Quality: The lycra is quite strong. Even with the abuse my horse has given it, if I wrap it in tightly, it's very secure. Friends of mine have used other sleazy items and have never had issues with tears, snags, etc.
Summary: I definitely recommend sleazy tail bags to others who need protection from rubbing or even to simply protect if your horse already has a beautiful tail! Keep it that way!
