Purchase: Bought from my barn manager, new, $25.
Likes: This mask does a good job of keeping the flies off. The material is soft and non-irritating.
Dislikes: Unfortunately, this mask is impossible to keep on! My horse, who has never taken off a fly mask in her 16 years took this mask off every single day I used it on her, making it useless to me. I gave it to a friend because of this problem, and her horse won't keep it on either. The velcro strap is farther forward under the jaw than most fly masks, which makes it easy for horses to twist it around and slip it off. Also the ears are very long, making my Arab look like a mule when she wears it. I was sorry I spent so much money on this mask. I liked the soft material and the look of the mask, but the plain old super masks stay on much better.
Quality: It seems to be made well, but the material is harder to wash off with just a hose than standard mesh masks.
Summary: Some people have given good reviews to this mask, so keeping it on may be a problem only in certain sizes. However, I don't recommend spending up to $30 for this mask since many other masks will keep the flies off and protect from the sun but are cheaper and easier to keep on your horse.
