Purchase: I bought these great boots off of eBay for a steal... 3 pairs for $70 USD. I needed just 2 pairs, so was able to sell the last pair for $50 CAD. So really, I kind of lucked out! WELL worth the $50 for someone, as that's still lower than the actual selling cost from a tack store.
Likes: These boots look amazing! They stay put on the horse's legs very well, which I was concerned about when I bought them. I assumed the fleece would make them slide down, but haven't moved yet. They are SO easy to clean; just wipe, shake, brush... I haven't had to machine-wash or hand-wash yet. They fit the horse very well, and are shaped incredibly... perfect!! They cover all the bases related to strike areas. They are sturdy and look clean & tidy. No more polos!! 2 velcro straps, you're done. Easy, quick.
Dislikes: Not much negative to say... hmmm... oh, I guess when I ride in a sandy-er arena, a bit of sand does leak in the top and bottom into the fleece. Easy to shake out though, and the horse wasn't bothered either... the fleece is so thick it pulls the sand in. During a longer clinic it could be a bit abrasive I imagine. I never noticed it though.
Quality: Strong, durable, clean, and tidy. The stitching is first-class and everything lines up perfectly when on the horse. I love 'em, I love 'em, I love 'em!!
Summary: I highly recommend these boots for dressage and pleasure. The white looks great on dark/black legs, and the black boots on white/light legs. Throw away those polos, girls/guys! These are superior. Protection, great fit, easy & quick to put on your horse, super-easy to keep clean.
