Purchase: I aquired my Fancy Tack Mane Tamer from Ebay. I paid $32 for it. I needed a quality hood that offered certain features such as a zipper, large eye holes, and a good quality material for my yearling halter filly.
Likes: I recieved the mane tamer via USPS priority mail in just a few days even although the hood was custom made. It was in a vibrant red color and the material was very nice, heavier than some other hoods I have tried. I tried the mane tamer on my filly and it was a perfect fit. Everything fit perfectly which was a plus as she had destoyed a few other hoods that did not fit. One thing I noticed that differed from all the other hoods was that the seams were finished, and many were double sewed. They do state that the material will wear out before the stitching will, and I can see why. This is a great hood, and the price was unbeleivable. I have spent so much more for a hood that did not last, did not come with a warranty. This hood will last me many seasons, and was 1/2 the price of the others.
Dislikes: There is nothing yet, other than that I didn't buy 2 of them.
Quality: This hood is made of good material. It is heavier than other hoods I have purchased. The stitching is perfect as I have had this hood for one full season and have not had one single stitch pop or break like others do around the ear and eye holes. It comes with an elastic waist and a side click buckle, no more hay filled velcro closures.
Summary: This is one of the nicest mane tamers that I have used, or purchased. By far I will be buying more.
