Purchase: I have been looking for a calf roping saddle. I was at the APHA World Show were I saw Luke Jones win the world and looked into the saddle he was riding. I found out it was his on signature design saddle he has Saddlesmith of Texas. I was able to find one and paid $1450.00.
Likes: I liked the saddle because it was designed and ridden by Luke Jones himself. It fits and rides great, because I know what correct size saddle I need. The saddle was tooled just enough for my taste. I loved how it fit my horse, too. Looks, fits and rides great! What more could you ask for!!!
Dislikes: Hey, it's a working saddle and I couldn't find anything I didn't like about it. I knew what I was buying and didn't expect anymore out of the saddle than what it was!
Quality: Quality of the saddle was great. Everything lined up, tooling matched good, construction was good!
Summary: The way I look at things is...You get what you pay for! Buy cheap, you get cheap! Buy quality and you get quality! If you're looking for a good saddle I suggest a Saddlesmith of Texas! I got everything I wanted and more out of the saddle!
