Purchase: A few years ago I bought a synthetic saddle for a gaited horse from Crest Ridge Saddlery.
Likes: This saddle fit my gelding like a glove. He had very high withers and a slightly swayed back.
Dislikes:
Quality: The saddle is beautiful, comfortable and light enough for a weakling like me to lift over a 16H horse.
Summary: I recently replaced my gelding with a smaller mare. I called Debra at Crest Ridge Saddlery to see what we could do about fitting the existing saddle to my new horse. She was very helpful. She instructed me to do a couple of white towel tests with different pad arrangements to see if the saddle would fit without rubbing or pinching the mare. I emailed the pictures of the tests to Debra and she kindly informed me that one of the configurations would work just fine. I was thrilled. Debra could have easily said in the beginning, "OH NO, YOU NEED A WHOLE NEW SADDLE TO FIT THIS MARE". What did I know from dirt what would work ? Now THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT IT FINEST. I will definitely be in touch with Debra at Crest Ridge for a new saddle in the future.
