Purchase: I purchased this saddle used from an online dealer that specializes in French Used saddles.
Likes: The fit, the comfort, the quality. The beauty of the saddle. I love this saddle, it fits like a glove. I love the knee and thigh blocks, they keep your leg in place. I got this saddle to replace an old Pessoa A/O that was on it's last leg. I had a Hermes Steinkraus before that and like the french made saddles, but the Hermes is too flat for the Jumpers and Fox Hunting that I do now.
The Devoucoux was exactly what I needed. I had tried a demo from a dealer a few years back and fell in love. I waited until I found a good quality used one, to save about 1/2 the new cost. The saddle I got was almost new, just slightly broken in.
Dislikes: Nothing. The leather does scratch a little bit easy, but I take good care of it, and it's not a problem. The stitching is good and tight and it fits a multitude of horses.
Quality: Excellent, very well made.
Summary: I would highly recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a saddle that does hunters or jumpers. It's a great all around saddle, and beautiful to look at as well!
