Purchase: I bought this pair from Country Supply's mail order catalogue for $35.00. I needed a pair of riding shoes and wasn't ready to spend a hundred bucks on schooling footwear.
Likes: They looked and felt great from the first time I used them. I also liked not worrying about getting them dirty, since they weren't very expensive.
Dislikes: After about 8 months the equileather coating is starting to wear and peel away in the toe area. The sole on one shoe is also starting to come detached. At this point they are still usable but I will need to purchases something else in a few months.
Quality: The quality of the shoe is what you pay for. The zipper is strong and they are pretty much water proof. They would probably last a once a week rider for many many lessons.
Summary: I didn't treat these babies very kindly. I walked through mud puddles and bathed horses wearing them, in addition to riding in them 4-5 times a week for 8 months straight. Given the circumstances, I would say they held up well for the price I payed for them.
