Purchase: I stumbled across Crest Ridge Saddlery while looking for information on fitting a mule saddle. After almost a year of trying to find something that was comfortable for me AND Beans, I was beginning to think it was a lost cause. I saw a very bold statement on the web page..."This one fits!" I decided then and there to put Debra and her statement to the test and see if she could make both of us comfortable. I examined the web page, settled on a couple of likely prospects and went to work. The $933 I paid for my Guffy Mule saddle is worth every penny.
Likes: This saddle is amazing! I followed the very simple directions and emailed the measurements and photos to Debra at Crest Ridge. She promptly followed up with a phone call and told me a BUNCH of things about my mule's basic conformation! She asked what I wanted, suggested a few things, and in no time at all I had my saddle. It is comfortable for me AND my mule and I have had nothing but compliments on my rig. I bought the matching bridle and reins, britchin and 4 point breast collar, got an unexpected discount, and learned what real customer service is!
Dislikes: There is nothing I can find to complain about! In fact, I am so impressed with this saddle, I was asking everybody at the barn to "take a spin!"
Quality: The quality of the leather is excellent. The color of the accessories is an exact match. There are scissor clips to attach the breastcollar, reins and britchin, and a LOT of rings for whatever you could possibly want t attach to your saddle. I can ride all day and still be comfortable, and able to walk when I finally decide to call it a day..:)
Summary: I have no idea how Debra and her staff can make and sell such a product for the price. It is worth every penny I paid, and then some. They say the best way to judge a product is by repeat business. Well, I suspect my TWH will be "wearing new duds" in very short order. The customer service from Crest Ridge Saddlery is outstanding and I would recommend this company to anyone. Shop with confidence!
