Purchase: My father purchased this for me at a tack store in Minnesota. It cost roughly $60.
Likes: This helmet saved my life. After falling off, the horse kicked me in the head and then stepped on my rib cage, breaking 6 ribs and collapsing a lung. While I was nowhere near fine, although the velvet tore and there was definite signs of impact on the helmet (cracked plastic), my head was safe. It doesn't get better than that, at least as far as I'm concerned.
Dislikes: It was a bit heavy, and the chin straps were quite wide.
Quality: Velvet covered show cap, nylon chin straps and a very durable inner shell. Quite well put together and tested to its limits!
Summary: I would buy this helmet again in a heartbeat. A bit of a heavy helmet is nothing compared to keeping my head. You wear a helmet to protect your head; do it right by buying a good helmet.
