Purchase: I have purchased several of these, from online tack stores, Tractor Supply, Fleet Farm, and other places. They usually run about $13-$16.
Likes: This fly mask is one of the few that will fit and stay on most horses. It covers quite a ways down the nose as well as the ears. It is durable and even the few that have gotten caught in barbed wire have not frayed or torn after the initial rip.
Dislikes: Aesthetically, this is not a pretty fly mask. It does not conform to the horse's head, so while it is less likely to rub on the horse, it looks like a giant bee mask on the horse. Also, I have found two horses (out of more than thirty) that can get this one off simply because the "horse" size is actually quite large. While it is more durable and stays on better than the Supermask, it is not as nice looking.
Quality: Rip-stop black mesh with padding on the nose and around the ears. This material is made to rip no further than the initial rip and will not fray, unlike many cheaper masks on the market.
Summary: This is a good mask for larger horses if you care more about quality and fly control than aesthetics. It retains its shape and is easy to clean. It is a good choice for a horse in a pasture situation, where the horse might be in contact with trees, barbed wire, or other horses.
