Purchase: I purchased this at Fleet Farm and Tractor Supply company. It costs about $5 for a quart spray bottle.
Likes: The spray bottles don't break, unlike a lot of other fly spray products I have purchased. I have reused them several times.
Dislikes: Because this product is water-based, it is rather ineffective against flies and bugs in my areas (Ohio and Minnesota). It does not kill flies on contact; rather, they fly away. It does not seem to repel insects for more than half an hour or so, before they are back as bad as before.
Quality: This is a water-based fly repellent, so while your farrier might like it because it is not slippery, it also does not stick to the horses.
Summary: If this is the only option, it is better than nothing, however, I would not purchase it again if given a choice of products.
