Purchase: I purchased these through Country Supply catalog for roughly $6. I needed bell boots for my mare, who had gotten greasy heel.
Likes: They were velcro, so they were easy on-off.
Dislikes: They were a bit too easy to get off; the first time my mare wore these she didn't have them on for five minutes and she kicked at a fly, hit the rubber, and one of them ripped right off.
Quality: These did not last on my horse, and I don't think it was my horse (a 22 year old therapeutic riding horse; not much spunk). They are rubber with velcro closures and come in red or black. The rubber is quite lightweight and flexible.
Summary: I would skip over these and purchase a more expensive bell boot. These were not heavy at all and couldn't even stand up to my ancient mount that even the most disabled kids can ride.
