Purchase: My mother purchased this helmet from a tack store in Minnesota for roughly $60. Because she rode, it was intended as a spare helmet for people who came out to ride my horses and for her.
Likes: It was inexpensive, and they tried to spice it up with the leather strap on the front. It is quite lightweight and well-padded.
Dislikes: For some reason, my head seems to be too long and narrow to fit into Troxels. I cannot wear this helmet without getting a headache, so like any helmet, I suggest buyers try one on in the store to make sure it fits before buying one online.
Quality: Tough outer shell without a cover comes in a few choices of colors. Padded inside with quick-release hook.
Summary: Not a bad helmet for young riders and anyone you want to keep safe or as an extra helmet to have around. Probably fine for schooling and hacking, but not a show helmet.
