Purchase: I needed very strong stirrup leathers for my eventing saddle. I ordered these leathers from Dover Saddlery. I paid $88.00 for these leathers.
Likes: These stirrup leathers will NOT stretch, and are guarenteed not to stretch. They are made in Italy, so you know the leather quality is great. They are made of a nylon core, so that is what prevents stretching. They have a very flat buckle by your legs, so less bulk, and a more comfortable ride.
Dislikes: They are more than the average money I would perfer putting into quality stirrup leathers.
Quality: The leather is very supple, and easy to work with. The leather is soft to the touch, and does not wear away the leather color on your saddle, like the cheaper made leathers. They only come in one color and that is Tobacco. This color matches almost every color saddle except black.
Summary: I feel safe when I am riding with these stirrup leathers. In Eventing, you rely on your quality tack to keep you in the sport, and to keep you safe. That sense of security is worth the money.
