Model: Trap n' Toss
Category: Fly Control
Purchase: I purchase these through KV Vet for about $5 each. They are also available at Fleet Farm and TSC.
Likes: These work quite well if hung up and filled with clean (not well) water. Even in areas where the flies weren't bad (ie Minnsota), I had to replace these every three weeks because they filled up so fast.
Dislikes: They do not work well if they are sat on the ground, because there is minimal access for the flies, or if you use water with a lot of rust in it. They are also quite bulky and ugly. They smell atrocious and you will need to fill them up with tap water for the best effect.
Quality: This model is a fairly tip-proof plastic unit, so unlike the bags, it is rather sturdy and more difficult to accidentally splash fly juice on yourself. The directions are easy to understand and it is a rather potent fly trap; the best I have used.
Summary: Excellent fly control for the cost and very effective, but you must use good water for the best results. Very durable and easy to use.
Usefulness Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
