Purchase: We purchased this at a traveling tack store in Minnesota for $16. We needed a cinch for my mother's western saddle that was big enough for my 16 hand mare.
Likes: Unlike most neoprene cinches, this one has a nylon outside so it is easier to grab and hold on to. This does make it a bit harder to keep clean, but allows for more rings and attachments and it is less prone to ripping. It does not move around much on the horse, and the metal has not rusted over years of use. It does not pinch. It is a great price fr a neoprene cinch.
Dislikes: There is really nothing that I do not like about this cinch. It is not quite as easy to clean as some neoprene cinches, but it is not as slick so it doesn't move around as much on the horse as others, which more than makes up for that. I suppose, like all neoprene, it is quite warm and causes a lot of sweating.
Quality: The neoprene is sewn onto a nylon strap, so the neoprene side goes against the horse and the nylon side faces up. Because it is sewn on to the nylon, the underside of the cinch is ribbed, which allows it to sit better on the horse than the solid neoprene cinches. It comes in all sizes; we bought a 36".
Summary: Excellent price for the money and I find this one functionally better than the all-neoprene girths. This one is more aesthetically pleasing to me, although takes more than just a superficial hosing to get clean due to the nylon. However, it is durable and rugged and quite inexpensive.
