Purchase: I event, and I needed a lightweight helmet to keep me safe from a bad fall, or just trail riding. I bought this helmet from Dover Saddlery. I paid $130.00 for this Troxel helmet.
Likes: This helmet is so lightweght, and is well ventilated, so you stay cool in those hot summer riding months. It took me forever to find the right helmet to fit my head, and this one fits my head perfectly. This helmet is a Dover Exclusive. Dover is known for thier great prices on quality items. You can use this helmet for schooling or shows, as it has a fine european velvet layer. The satin liner keeps you warmer in the winter. You can adjust the height, length, and width to fit just about any head. It also fits great over a ponytail, or thick hair. It has a lot of padding, and because it is so lightweight and comfortable, I sometimes forget I am even wearing it.
Dislikes: The liner in this helmet is made out if satin, and in the summer the satin can get very warm.
Quality: This helmet is made of great quality platic, leather, and cloths. I like the padding as it is not hard, and you almost feel like you are wearing a pillow while you are riding. The bill is not bulky. I always have problems with bulky helmets, because I will go to kiss my mare after a long ride, and most helmets hit her in the mose...but not this one!
Summary: I feel so safe when I ride in this helmet, I know it may save my life if I fall. it gives me a great sense of security, even though it feels as if it is not even on. It doesn't make your head look huge like most helmets. It is nice enought to show in.
