Purchase: I wanted a coil hose to save room in the barn. I bought this hose from State Line Tack. I paid about $45.00 for a 50 ft. hose.
Likes: It saved tons of space in the barn! When you were finished using it, you do not have to drag it up to the hose holder, and put it up. This hose cannot be damaged by the sun, as it is UV protected! I loved the clear aqua blue color that I purchased it in. It is also safe to drink out of. it is easy to store, just make a small space in your tack locker.
Dislikes: I did not like the fact that this hose kinks a lot easier than the average garden hose. My horses were also afraid of it, as it would sometimes coild around their legs. The hose it very thin, and it is difficult to get adequate pressure out of it. It makes it really hard to fill up water buckets, unlike normal hoses, you cannot just let it sit in there, it will fall out.
Quality: The material this hose is made of is VERY durable and strong. It has brass fittings. The quality is good.
Summary: I liked this hose for filling up trophs, and washing my vehicle, but I do not think it is a safe product to use in a barn or around horses. Because of it's coil reflexes, I do not think it is good to have around the more spooky younger horses.
