Purchase: I paid $18 for a quart of concentrate of Espree Aloe Herbal Horse Spray, which makes roughly 5 quart size bottles of fly spray.
Likes: I love this product, and it is the only fly spray I trust with my horse. My mare would get flies all over her all summer, and they would swarm all over her, to the point where her belly would bleed when she came in from having flies all over her. I tried Absorbine's Bug Block, which was advertised to be tough on bugs, but i found that it dried out my mare's coat. When I used Espree's product, I found just the opposite. The product contains aloe and lanolin so her coat is soft and shiny all the time and does not dry out. It also contains sunscreen so her coat doesn't loose color with the sun beating down on her. On top of all of this it provides top notch fly control. It is oil based, so you can see it on the horse, and know that its there. Even after my horse being outside all day, and rolling I can still see the residue on her coat, and know that the product in in place and working.
Dislikes: I don't like that this product is difficult to find. None of the tack shops in my area carry this product, so I have to order it online. Also, because it is in concentrate form, it needs to be shaken before use.
Quality: This product is amazing. It's herbal, and all natural, so I don't feel like I'm spraying "poison" on my horse. It's safe and effective, and economical when it comes in concentrate form.
Summary: This product works, its not harmful to the horse, the person spraying the horse, or the environment.
