Purchase: My saddle was purchased through National Bridle Shop. I paid $1,185.00 includes shipping.
Likes: This saddle has a "deep" double padded seat. The cantle and horn are roughly 4 1/2 inches high. Feels like you are slipping into a glove and gives excellent back support. The fenders are turned and easy on the knees. Have ridden Tucker and Steele saddles and in my opinion there is no comparison to the comfort of the Tenn. Lite. Best of all I didn't pay an arm and leg. The price is right for such a comfortable quality built saddle.
Dislikes: Swinging your leg over the high back takes some getting use to but once you are there it is heaven! My friends want to borrow this saddle all of the time!!! Get your own!!!
Quality: It weighs 24 lbs. Turned fenders and has padded 5 1/2 " wide metal stirrups. Easy on the knees. Excellent leather. Seat is like glove leather and well padded. Brass fittings. A well built trail saddle.
Summary: After trying many so called comfortable trail saddle I am very pleased with the Tenn. Lite. It is built for the gaited horse. I recently purchased another Tenn. Lite for my husband who doesn't ride often but wants comfort. My friends are thrilled that I own a second one and are willing to break it in for my husband! A saddle you can ride in for 8 hours and still be able to walk afterwards!!!!
