Purchase: I needed a quality saddle that could outlive me! i purchased the Passier Relevant dressage saddle from Dover Saddlery for around $1,900.00.
Likes: This saddle is GREAT! The leather was very supple when I first recieved it, like it had already been soaped and oiled. I did not have to ride in it much for it to break in. This saddle, unlike my Stubben, centers me in a really balanced position. This saddle is made in Germany. Saddles made in Germany are known for their quality leather, and great workmanship. Lisa Wilcox along with her trainer Ernst Hoyos teamed up with Passier to make this wonderful saddle. I love how deep the seat it, and the padding keeps my in a relaxed form, it really allows your thighs to relax. I even used this saddle on trail rides, it suited me more than a western saddle, I feel very safe, and secure in this saddle. Very comfortable for my saddle sour mare! The black color is beautiful, and even after owning this saddle for about 7 months with it being ridden in about 4 times a week, the leather color has not faded a bit. Even where the saddle leathers are!
Dislikes: There is nothing I do not like about this saddle!
Quality: It is made with excellent quality leather. the tree is very strong, yet comfortable for my horses. I love this saddle because I do not need to buy a changeable gullet saddle now, it fits my horses ranging from tbs to AQHA horses!
Summary: This saddle is great for riding in many different conditions. Ranging from trail riding to the show ring.
