Purchase: I bought this pad from the Best Friends website and paid $64.95 plus shipping for it. It came with a cinch.
Likes: It's just very easy on and off and doesn't tend to slip. I have been riding bareback for a long time now, so my balance is pretty good. I don't know whether it would slip on with a person who loses their balance, but I rather doubt that it would due to the waffle type material on the cinch and underside of the pad. I ordered the brown, and it really is very pretty. The instructions say to wipe with a damp cloth, but I hose the underside of mine down (and of course the top gets damp) but I hang it to dry and it has been just fine with that.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like is when my horse sweats, after a while it comes through to the top and my rear gets damp. I think there could be another layer of neoprene type material underneath the top suede type material.
Quality: The construction is very good. The strapping is nylon and the top is a synthetic "suede" look material. The underside is made out of a waffle type neoprene material. It's well put together, pretty and extremely lightweight.
Summary: The pad is nice and cushy, very comfortable. It's easy to cinch up, and stays put. All in all this is an excellent pad if you don't mind your tush getting damp!
