Purchase: I purchased three of these new at a benefit tack sale for the therapeutic riding program that I worked for. They were $15 each.
Likes: These are comfortable for the horse, THICK! and stay on quite well. They haven't torn and look great, and come in a variety of colors.
Dislikes: The elastic that attaches to the hood and stretches down to the blanket to hold it on is rather tough. My horses had trouble reaching all the way down to the ground and I actually had to buy them a different style of feeder that hung on the fence so that they didn't have to reach all the way to the ground.
Quality: Heavy-duty and thick shell with coat-smoothing underside and rigs for blanket hook-up. Mine haven't torn (although hoods only go on when it is below zero degrees).
Summary: A great hood, and one I would buy again in the future, even if not at a discount price.
