Purchase: I bought these at fleet farm for roughly $30 each because I live up north and the water freezes in winter in a non-heated barn.
Likes: This is easy to use and the cord can be stored inside the bucket in a separate compartment. They are tough and even when used outside I have never needed to replace one.
Dislikes: They are expensive to run, because they use a lot of electricity. They also will cause extension cords to be all over your barn, which isn't the safest.
Quality: Heavy plastic bucket with a protected cord (wound in wire) attaches to the bottom of the bucket and stores in a separate compartment under the bucket. Flatback, so hands or sits nicely on the wall. Cord can be made as long or short as needed up to the length of the cord.
Summary: This is an excellent bucket for winter use in the barn or even outside. It keeps the water warm and thawed so your horses can drink, even in the cold nights. Certainly beats a bout of colic!
