Model: Circuit Grand Prix Saddle
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: Dover Saddlery for $850.
Likes: The saddle was beautiful when I got it, good quality leather, it has held up well over the year.
Dislikes: It oiled quite dark when I oiled it, which I was slightly disappointed in. It was very comfortable to ride in for the first 6 months but after that it really began to get hard to sit on. It looks beautiful, although darker than I expected, although I have yet to find a horse that it fits well in my barn, it seems to pinch most of the horses' withers, I bought a medium tree so possibly a wide tree may fit better.
Quality: The quality it quite nice for the price. The leather really soaks in oil so don't let the light picture fool you, it ends up a dark, redish color, it matches the kincade bridles well.
Summary: I find myself on the fence with this saddle. It looks beautiful but it has its flaws. I bought a pessoa gen x a year after buying the dover because I just wasn't satisfied with the dover, but many are. I couldn't ask for more with my gen x though.
