Purchase: I bought this from a tack store for about $32 for a pack of eight because I had tried the Equi-Spot and I liked its effects, and this was cheap and convenient.
Likes: It was rather inexpensive. Eight of them only cost $32, and if they lasted two weeks each, I would save a lot of money and give my horses some extra comfort in addition to fly spray.
Dislikes: It really didn't work at all. I noticed no difference in the number of flies swarming the horses I only sprayed with fly spray as opposed to those who got both treatments. I did not want to apply it more than every other week, because I do not know what it is doing chemically to my horse's body, as it is absorbed through the skin.
Quality: This one comes in a little tube that applies itself better than the equi-spot. The tube has a cap and looks similar to the tiny squeeze bottles you find for some ear mite medications. This means you have more regulation over the flow and amount that comes out. I didn't find that there was enough for my big horses.
Summary: This is not the brand I prefer. I will stick with equi-spot, or try some of the other brands that have been reported to work even better than that one.
