Purchase: I bought two pair of kids GripBums riding tights from Equus Unlimited-on line. I paid $59.99 each plus shipping. Equus Now had the least expensive price even compared to the Equissentials web site.
Likes: I really wanted my kids to be more secure and comfortable while riding. I had a REALLY hard time finding kids full seat products. These really grip well. They are also sized only a little bit small. OH, but they sure are cute!!
Dislikes: The tights "twist" around on my kids legs. Evidence of the gripping action. The knit isn't stiff enough to prevent it. I also thought $60 was a little much to pay for kids wear.
Quality: These pull-on tights are a lightweight black knit fabric. There are rubbery "pictures" on the seat area (from the hems all the way to the waistband) Boots & saddles or Fantasy Pegasus. They have a wide(about 3 inches), comfortable waistband, no inner seams. The hems are simply serged. No gripper elastic.
Summary: When my kids grow out of these, I will try something else. The fabric and construction are quality, but I can't see spending this much again.
