Purchase: I bought these for about $50 through an online tack and apparel store because I wanted to train my foal how to have his feet trimmed.
Likes: The leather is soft but thick.
Dislikes: The size and weight. It comes in a standard size that is supposed to fit everyone, but it actually only adjusts down to 29" so it falls off of me. The leather is heavy and there is too much of it--it is too long. They are uncomfortable to wear and the snaps for the legs are too low. They are clearly made for a man, not for everyone.
Quality: Colored leather chaps (blue) with a pocket and a magnet for holding tools and nails. Nylon strap snaps into place around your waist. None of the leather is stitched at all or reinforced.
Summary: This is a cheap set of chaps that will probably fit men. I found them uncomfortable, as they were much too big all the way around. These are obviously light duty and wouldn't work for regular use at all, but might not be bad if you're just doing an occasional trim or want to train your baby to have his feet done, like me.
