Purchase: I purchased this saddle on eBay (you would be very suprised at the nice tack for sale online!) for around $600, though new they run as much as $1400. The very saddle I purchased was a slightly-used Demo saddle, but looked brand new. This is a CS Model meaning it is extra-forward for the long-legged rider.
Likes: I love this saddle! It is very well fitting to both rider and horse ( I have a 16.1 hand high Thoroughbred) and it is well-built for jumping. Large, but not "fat" knee-rolls are perfect in size and still allow you to maintain a perfect position over jumps. A Stubben saddle hand-crafted so the quality is PERFECT!
Dislikes: The color will darken with oiling if you get the london colored leather as I did. Other than that- There is really nothing U do not like- love about this saddle.
Quality: GREAT Quality- Leather comes in London or Black. Beautifu Jumping Saddle. Can come in VS or CS for the long-legged rider and many different additions are available, such as calf blocks. You wont be disappointed with this saddle!
Summary: A wonderful saddle- though a bit pricey, you would mot be sorry if you were to purchase this saddle! Stubben makes great products that last a life time! The Stubben Artus is the newest- and best jumping saddle on the Stubben Market. I love it, and you will too.
