Purchase: I bought this because it was on sale at Fleet Farm for $12 and having paints, I wanted to see if this actually worked any better than the other whitening shampoos; why it cost so much more.
Likes: It does actually work pretty well. I didn't find that it worked any worse than Quicksilver, which is the brand that I prefer and normally buy. It gets the dirt out and leaves a brilliant white horse!
Dislikes: It costs twice as much as Quicksilver (it retails for $20 and I buy quicksilver for $8). Though it wasn't worse, it wasn't better, either (not faster, or easier to clean out the dirt, or took less shampoo, or left a lustre or anything...it was just the same).
Quality: This is a whitening shampoo for greys and horses with a lot of white. It did a great job of removing the dirt and leaving me with a horse that was brown and white in all the right areas and none of the wrong areas!
Summary: Just because of the cost, I will continue to use quicsilver instead. Xtreme works, but it is so much more than quicsilver and works quite the same, so I do not see any reason to switch brands once I finish what I have.
