Purchase: I bought a Wintec 2000 new from Wintec online for $625. i bought as an all purpose saddle for hunter/jumper shows that was easily taken care of and that can be changed to fit other horses(easy-change gullet). The saddle had a great seat for when I was learning how to ride letting me do all the basic skills including basic dressage and jumping. When I got to jumping 2' and 3' jumps and eventing my leg was forced back by the placement of my seat in the saddle. I found that most all the wintecs I had ridden had done that too me (200,500,2000). The saddle still was great for dressage and jumping small but I would consider other saddles for jumping high.
Likes: I like the easy-change gullet. I like how it is very easy to care for. I like how it allows you to the basics of most anything. I like how t is synthetic so no leather care, oil etc. I like how it is very light and easy to carry.
Dislikes: The placement of the seat sits you way back in the saddle more for dressage then jumping.
Quality: The construction is excellent and so is the quality it is mainly velcro so the easy change gullet system is very easy and you can add calf and thigh blocks as well. the quality is great. The only construction fault is for jumping the saddle sits you back and doest allow you to get out of the saddle much.
Summary: This saddle is great for kids beginning to ride but not meant the very experienced as well as a great saddle for all purpose dressage without buying a new dressage saddle. Overall good saddle.
