Purchase: I buy these at Fleet Farm. They normally sell for around $10. I never have enough lead ropes, so of course I bought some more.
Likes: This is a sturdy, durable lead rope. One of the few I've owned that usually doesn't break; even my mare, who is a puller, tried this one out and it didn't break when others did. The hardware doesn't change colors and I have only ever had one of these break, though I've purchased at least 5 or 6 of this brand. On that occasion, the brass clasp that holds the snap to the rope actually came loose and the rope slipped out. It ties well without getting stock or slipping out.
Dislikes: It has no give, so if a horse pulls it can burn your hand.
Quality: This is a heavy-duty, rugged lead rope for everyday using. Brass hardware, poly braided rope that is about 1" thick.
Summary: This is not my favorite lead rope, but it does work and doesn't break easily. Not a bad purchase.
