Purchase: I got a deal on e bay 449.00 so I thought
Likes: Nothing, absolutely nothing. Maybe the idea of a cheap treeless saddle, Yup that's what I liked, that it was cheap and I could afford to try it after I bought it on e bay. After all e bay would not allow a seller to be there so long and sell so much if they were that bad. Wrong again!
Dislikes: The leather was so hard that the saddle came flat in the box and always stayed that way. The pommel and the cantle were not on the saddle straight. The lining was something they bought at Wally World in India on the sale table. The one and only time I rode in it I did feel the joy of treeless but by the end of the ride my horse had open sores on his sides because the pad I used although it was big enough for the saddle, did not protect my horses sides. I think the pommel was a glued on plastic covering or some kind of spray on. I must say all in all this was the worst think I ever bought on e bay. The man who answered the phone when I called the company had such a heavy accent I could not understand what he was saying. I felt like I as calling Dell!!

Quality: Construction and quality......POOR POOR & POORER
My friend who owns 3 Bob Marshall saddles thought this saddle would be ok if she could custom order to her specs. The company allows special orders for a price. She ordered an ALL BLACK EXTRA SOFT ALL LEATHER saddle. She had certain things she wanted in certain places, trying to mimic her Bob Marshall. Well she got really ripped off. You can not return a custom saddle to Hilason. Plain and simple. You order, they attempt to fill the order then 3 or 4 months later (mind you payment up front) they ship you the saddle and they are finished with the order. This saddle was then sold for half cost to another friend who said she would keep it till it broke in. It never softened and it turned GREEN. In the end they put it out on the road for the trash to take it away and someone took it. They'll be sorry too.
Summary: BUYER BEWARE THIS IS NOT A GOOD AFFORDABLE TREELESS SADDLE. WATCH FOR A USED BOB MARSHALL AND THEN EXPERIENCE A GREAT RIDE IN A TREELESS SADDLE. THIS IS A CHEAP KNOCK OFF OF A BOB MARSHALL,
