Purchase: I bought a few of these at Fleet farm. I believe they were about $6 each. I just needed an easy over-the-fence feeder for my pastured horses.
Likes: These are a good size if you don't have a lot of feed. They are small so they look neat, and they have holes for screws so you can attach them to you fence. They fit on a standard 2 x 4 board. I have never had one break.
Dislikes: They don't fit on thicker boards found in older barns/pastures, and if they are not attached with screws to the fence, they come off very easily because the attachment part is very small/not very deep. The plastic can bend, even if it doesn't break, and if the hook part gets stepped on too many times or the dog chews on it, it won't fit on the fence any more.
Quality: Sturdy hard plastic over-the-fence hanging feeder. Durable and horse-proof, but doesn't stay on the fence very well (even the llama down the street knock them down!).
Summary: This is a fine feeder for foals, minis/ponies or horses that don't need much grain if you can attach it with screws to the fence. If you don't mind picking them up, it isn't too bad, but they aren't the best feeder if you want something you don't have to screw in and you won't have to go into the paddock to get it out.
