Purchase: I purchased this saddle for my six-year-old off of E-bay. It looked comparable to the Rodrigo Pessoa, but was less expensive.
Likes: As I'd hoped, this saddle is VERY comparable to the Pessoa Pony Saddle. It automatically puts your child in the correct position. The seat is deep enough that a child is as secure as it's possible to be in a close contact. The knee rolls put little legs where they need to go. Also, the short flaps allow for those same legs to reach the horse's side (very handy:).
Dislikes: My one nit-pick, and it's a minor one, is that the leather is a bit hard (Argentine). On the other hand, the saddle has retained it's "new" look ever since we've bought it. We're the second owner, and still the saddle looks new. It's used on a daily basis.
Quality: Construction is excellent.
Summary: I was hoping to find a saddle that would work for my little girl and yet not cost me an arm and a leg since I knew we'd eventually have to sell it when she outgrew it. Frankly, I found what I was looking for in the JV Masters. I doubt I'll have any problem selling it used (in a couple years) for about the same money I paid for it. Highly recommended!
