Purchase: I paid Under $1300 for this saddle new. I ordered if from Panther Creek Saddlery. After speaking to Deb Sibley on the phone several times, finding her very easy to talk to and very helpful, and after riding someone else's ultra lite, I ordered myself one. Panther Creek Saddlery offers a 10 day trial, if you don't like it they will take it back no questions asked. Can't beat that!

Likes: I absolutely love the rider comfort as well as the outstanding fit to the horse. this saddle has taken all of the issues that I personally had with the Bob Marshall saddles and corrected them, no roll, no feeling like you are trapped and best of all the stirrups are hung forward and adjustable. Each stirrup has two straps. One for length and one to adjust the forward hang. You get the best of the "tree less" concept with great looks and comfort for both horse and rider

Dislikes: There is absolutely nothing I would change about the ride or the fit of this saddle. It does take a few times riding in the saddle to get your stirrups adjusted just right. Be patient and you will find it is well worth it!

Quality: I wish the quality of the leather was a bit better. The stitching and workmanship seemed to be as good as any other saddle you will find today. Many design options! everything from bling to basket weave. Definitely something for everyone.

Summary: this saddle is an excellent design. It rides right on the horse, allows free movement and comfort for the animal. As for the rider, it is awesome. I like the 5" cantle and adjustability of the stirrups. The saddle allows you to be more of a one piece unit with your horse, it seems to alleviate getting left behind and the fanny slapping that you often see. it is well worth the money and with a 10 day trial period from the saddlery you can't beat it!
