Purchase: After 14 years away from riding, I recently started back! After deciding that I was going to try to go back into the show ring, I dug out my old field boots and started to ride in them. By the end of the first day, I had horrid blisters on my ankles, and my husband told me that I should definitely get a new pair of boots. No need to tell me twice! Timing was perfect with Rick's Heritage Saddlery Tent Sale. The retail on this pair of boots was $239 and everything that day was 20% off, so I walked out with these for about $190.
Likes: I tried on these boots and instantly fell in love.
They are so comfortable, they feel almost like slippers.
The zipper feature is fabulous. Not only does it make for easy on and off, but it allows you to get a fit as close to custom as possible for the price. They provide a nice snug fit at the calf and the Spanish style top hits my knee properly when bent in the saddle.
Dislikes: I can't find anything not to like about these boots!
Quality: The quality of the leather is wonderful. Soft and supple. The first day I rode in them felt like Id been riding in them a month. I did wear them a few times before the show just to get used to them. This helped because it did allow the leather in the calf to stretch enough to conform to my calf. All in all, straight out of the box, they are fabulous!
Summary: I would definitely recommend these boots. Ariat make a wide range of styles and price points. At the end of the day, this is a beautiful looking, wonderfully constructed boot that is a great value for the money.
