Purchase: I purchased this through an online horse supply company for about $40 for a 3 pound bucket. I had a stallion with arthritis in his hocks
Likes: It has Glucosamine HCL, which can be absorbed by horses. Thus, I do believe that it gave him some more comfort, as he became more active. He was just as stiff, but I also believe that his joints had fused by that point.
Dislikes: It had Chondroitin Sulfate, which horses can only absorb 5% or less of, and at his age he probably couldn't absorb it at all, so I was paying for something that research says has no impact on horses.
Quality: This one comes in a pellet form, which was palatable and easy to feed. I liked the pellets because if they spilled they could be cleaned up, they could get mixed into food and horses didn't miss any of it, like they could a liquid or a powder.
Summary: This is a good and inexpensive joint supplement. I would prefer they make it cheaper by taking out the Chondrointin, but I don't think I'm going to be the one to convince them. The pellets are nice.
