Purchase: Bought used (very lightly) on ebay. Paid $2,400.
Likes: Awesome saddle. I was looking for a County Perfection, but my research showed that Amerigo's were comparable in quality and correctness. When this saddle appeared on ebay, I went ahead and purchased it. Absolutely no regrets! I love the deep seat and the knee rolls. I'm tall (5'11" and very long legged; my horse is a huge moving, young, 17.1hh TB. This saddle keeps me centered and secure even when she's really full of herself!
Dislikes: Although I'd really prefer a little more forward flap, I'm getting used to the straight flap. Other than that, this is a fantastic saddle.
Quality: Extremely high quality leather and craftsmanship. You truly get what you pay for. The V-billeting system seems to distribute the pressure of the saddle better than the traditional straight billet system.
Summary: When I bought this horse, I decided that I was going to bite-the-bullet and get myself a quality saddle. I actually had the County saddler come do a fitting and loved the Perfection, but couldn't quite afford a new one or find a used one. I researched and talked many competitive dressage riders and they told me to check to Amerigo's. Finally found a used one in the size I needed, so gave it a try. Absolutely no regrets!
