Purchase: I bought these boots online from Dover Saddler for $79.
Likes: They are very soft and pliable. Even with zippers they do not cause blisters on the back of the ankle, unlike expensive leather boots I have purchased and tried to ride in.
Dislikes: The calf size is much larger than other boots. I usually need a large or extra large and in these I have a regular width size 10 and they are still a bit loose. Suggest ordering at least one size smaller in calf width.
Quality: So far they have held up well. They are supple and thin, providing excellent contact and feel of the horse. A great plus that you can wipe them off and go right into the show ring. I defy anyone to distinguish them from real leather from the sidelines of the show ring.
Summary: After spending hundreds of dollars on 2 pairs of leather show boots that were very uncomfortable, I bought these for everyday use, since they were cheap. They were so comfortable that I not only wear them for everyday schooling, but for shows. Far more comfortable than my expensive leather boots, but the calf is just a bit too wide.
