Close Contact Saddles
Manufacturer: Dover
Model: Circuit Elite
Category: Close Contact Saddles
Purchase: I had outgrown my last saddle and was looking for an inexpensive quality saddle. I was browsing through the Dover catalog and spotted the Circuit Elite. We got it discounted for around $600.
Likes: It fits my horse perfectly. It broke in within only a few rides, and was comfortable from day 1. The saddle puts me in a nice position for both flatwork and jumping.
Dislikes: The sturrips bars are VERY difficult to get to flip down and getting the sturrips on them is a pain.
Quality: As far as stiching and the like goes, it's held up great for the 6 months that I've had it. The leather is a little cheap and discolors easily.
Summary: It's a great saddle for someone who cannot afford to pay $2,000.
