Purchase: I bought my London from a seller on a treeless group I am on. I had been having problems with my very wide, table top mare with saddle fit. I had tried a couple of western and 3 english saddle models and sizes and none of them fit. I had been reading about treeless and thought I would try that route.
Likes: It is very comfortable to ride in. Like sitting in a soft, stuffed chair. It fit very well and gave a very comfortable ride for both myself and my horse. It has a very nice eye appeal, unlike many treeless. The leather is very soft and the whole unit including the pad only weighs 10 lbs.
Dislikes: The only thing I do not like about the London is where the billets are attached to the flaps. I find them to be very low making it harder to find a girth to fit my shorter mare who is only 13.3hh.
Quality: Made with soft black leather. The underside is a soft wool/fleece like material. The pommel is made with fibreglass and the cantle is made with a nice hard foam making it easier on the horse's back. These can both be taken out and stuffed with other softer material if one is so inclined. I think the quality is very nice. A well made saddle.
Summary: I have ridden in other treeless saddles and I am sold on the London. I will never go back to a treed saddle.
