Bug Eye Fly Mask
Fly Control
Manufacturer: Kensington
Model: Bug Eye Fly Mask
Category: Fly Control
Purchase: Purchased from SmartPak Equine on 8/6/07 for $20.95.
Likes: Pretty green color. Wide enough between the eyes for my 17.2 hand warmblood.
Dislikes: This product has a dangerous design. The 2nd day he wore it, my gelding came in with the Bug Eyes dented in from (apparently) rubbing his face. The Bug Eyes do not spring back, they stay dented where they continue to rub against the eye. My horse's right eye was swollen half shut and had to be medically treated. Tried mask one more time, but the Bug Eyes were dented after 2 hours. I will never use this fly mask again.
I did try to post a review of this mask (worded exactly as above) with SmartPak but they did not publish it.
Quality: Except for the above-mentioned dangerous design, this is a well-made, attractive mask.
Summary: Worse than a waste of money, this mask could have severely compromised my horse's vision.
