Purchase: I researched numerous websites, spoke to chiropractors, trainers, clinicians, saw the raves on GaitedHorse.net. I tried Tarpin, Crates, Circle Y, Mountain Horse, Dixieland, Big Horn, Syngergist and finally thought I'd just use my Duett English saddle for trail rides. I found Crestridge via the GaitedHorse.net forum and Debra walked me through it. I paid $1450.
Likes: Incredibly soft and supple, no squeaks. High quality leather and the tooling is amazing (ivy vines). Solid built, lots of dees, the seat and positioning feels like my English saddle, but way more secure. The best news is it fits! My horse is a gaiting fool likes he's not been since I bought him over a year ago. He is a different animal! No stretching, stopping, hopping, just comfortable with long strides. Love it!
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: Hand stitched correctly and tightly, quality fleece, tightly covered, no squeaks, very well oiled, hole placement for blevins is ideal for minute adjustments. Nice deep color, even die and tooling.
Summary: This saddle fits my boy better than my husbands' custom made fancy schmancy $4000 saddle fits his horse. It's truly amazing and you will not be disappointed. The best customer service around and I will definitely send my friends to Crestridge.
