Purchase: I paid $995 at Crazy Horse Tack online (came with a free Collegiate bridle and complete gullet set).
Likes: The saddle is a beautiful havanna color with eye catching white stitching. For the price the leather was pretty soft and supple.
Dislikes: I was very disappointed with how wide the twist is on this saddle. I'm used to a much narrower twist and found that this saddle made it difficult to keep my position. In addition I found that the gullet measurer didn't seem very accurate. I tried the saddle on two differently shaped horses and the gullet that fit (sort of) didn't match up with the measuring tool.
Quality: Seemed to be well constructed with quality materials.
Summary: Ultimately I sent the saddle back. I realize that a new saddle priced at under 1K isn't going to be perfect, but I don't think it fit me or any of the horses I normally ride well enough to warrant spending the money. I'll probably go back to a Pessoa....
