Purchase: I bought this saddle from the Dover Saddlery Basement for $345.00 (due to a scratch on the side that was buffed out). I bought the saddle as a replacement saddle for my Bates Saddle.
Likes: I love this saddle! It is comfy, pretty, and extremely easy to ride in. I have ridden in this saddle for over 7 years, and it is still in perfect condition. The leather wears extremely well, and it stays clean. It is very supporting, even over the larger fences. I have jumped between 18 inches to 4 foot fences with this saddle. I have also ridden XC with it. It is an amazing all around saddle perfect for the first time horse owner to the pros. Also if you get it at the time of the Dover sales, you can get a free matching bridle.
Dislikes: It isn't as padded in the knee rolls as other saddles. When I first got it, it took a while to break in.
Quality: The leather is smooth and quality french leather. Great quality leather. The stitching is sturdy and has never come undone. Comes at a cheaper price then other saddles of the quality.
Summary: Overall great saddle. If you need a saddle that can take you from your first horse to wherever you want to go for a cheap price, this is the saddle for you.
