Purchase: I bought this saddle last October (06) from a local dealer for $1100 including tax and delivery as it was semi custom. I also bought a matching breast collar with it. I use the flex tree, full QH bar saddle quite a bit on my big QH gelding and it has held up very well. Also comes with a rear cinch, but I don't use it. I appreciate the large Ds and cut out design which allow closer contact than other set ups. The saddle is made very well with quality materials and the Montana Silversmiths conchos (6) are a nice touch, but not too gaudy for a trail saddle. The tooling is very well done as well. I have seen a lot of trail saddles for more and less money, but I think this one is the best combination of quality and features for the money. I would definitely buy it again. There are several other Rocking R models in our tack room, owned by others, and they are all well made, nice looking saddles.
Likes: I like the cut outs, large Ds and suede seat. Flex tree is a nice option.
Dislikes: Nothing. The saddle is a winner.
Quality: The tooling, silver and leather are all very good quality and the saddle is made with a great deal of care. It's a year old now and looks brand new. This saddle is made like it's worth more than what the price is. Good deal.
Summary: I would buy this saddle again in a minute. I'll probably end up with the show model as well. There is one at the barn and it's very sharp.
