Purchase: I bought this sheet at a local tack store for about $150.
Likes: This sheet is great quality. I love the irridescent magenta color, and it fits my very stocky/wide paint horse very well. No shoulder rubs at all, probably because of the high neck design. It is virtually impossible for the sheet to slip back and get tight on the shoulders. The front closure is very adjustable with buckles, snaps, and 2 rings to attach the snaps to. Very easy to take off.
Dislikes: I wish it had velcro on the open front to help it lay flat on the chest. But, it stays closed naturally and it isn't restricting to the horse grazing, so maybe its not a bad thing. I don't really have any dislikes, the sheet is awesome.
Quality: There are about 25 horses at my barn that wear turnout sheets, so I can compare this one to just about every other brand on the market. Even the high end Rambos that cost $100 more don't compare! IT IS THE BEST! The material is heavy (no rips), teflon coated (mud doesn't stick to it!), and it stays put (no shifting). I have had it for 3 months and it doesn't show any signs of wear. It really is waterproof, and I've used in in the pouring rain. The trim will get wet around the edges, but the horse stays dry. There is no center seam which is great. I suggest everyone get the high neck style. It keeps the rain from running down the neck and into the shoulder area, and it prevents the blanket from slipping and causing rubs.
Summary: Buy this sheet, or the blanket model with filling. You won't be disappointed. I use this with a nylon blanket liner for my winter blanket and it works well.
